NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that the County of Ontario will receive Proposals for RFP R23051 Jail Security & Control Systems Upgrade Assessment.  Such proposals must be filed with the Ontario County Purchasing Director, 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424, on or before 4:00 PM prevailing time, June 29, 2023.  There will be a pre-proposal conference held at the Ontario County Jail,  3045 County Complex Drive, Canandaigua, NY 14424 on June 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Vendors are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-proposal meeting as this will be the ONLY opportunity to visit the facility.

All questions pertaining to this RFP shall be forwarded in writing to the Director of Purchasing at the address shown above.  

Ontario County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

INTRODUCTION: Ontario County is seeking proposals from qualified firms or a team of firms to assess and develop a strategy for maintenance and/or replacement of the existing Jail Security and Control System (SCS).   

The jail facility is owned and operated by Ontario County and located 3045 County Complex Drive in the Town of Hopewell, NY.  The Ontario County Jail is a direct supervision facility constructed in 2002-2003 with a current capacity of 291 inmates in 7 housing pods and the Medical and Multi-Use Area.
