[ARCHIVED] Stay-cationing Reuse Crafts

Creative Reuse Crafts

If you or your family are staying put and “staycation-ing” at home, consider an activity that involves creative reuse crafts! Taking an item destined for the trash and giving it new life as a piece of functional art is a great way to engage in educational summertime fun!

Why not refashion old containers into planters for growing seeds? You can try making new paper from used paper or making a compost bin from pallets and leftover wood. With a little imagination, just about anything can be made into something beautiful, useful or both! There are many free online up-cycling “how to” resources. What reusable crafts will you make? Share a photo using #RRNYreuse to show us!
