ICE - (In Case of Emergency) Campaign

The ICE (In Case of Emergency) campaign encourages people to enter an emergency contact number in their cell phone's contact under the heading "ICE".  Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE.' For more than one contact name, simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3, etc.

Don’t forget to talk with the person(s) identified as your “ICE” about the treatment guidelines you would prefer in the event that they are contacted when you are unconscious or otherwise unable to coordinate your own care. The knowledge that they are accurately expressing your wishes will help them weather your emergency with confidence and compassion.
