DWI Memorial Garden

The Ontario County DWI Memorial Garden was constructed in March and April of 2016 by students from the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center.  The students created the concept and built steel markers and holders for the "garden", memorializing individuals who have lost their lives due to impaired driving in Ontario County since the STOP-DWI program began in 1983.

The garden is featured on the front lawn of the Ontario County Court House each year during National Crime Victim's Week.  It is truly a garden that we hope will not grow.

The Ontario County DA's office played a pivotal part in assisting the STOP-DWI program with arranging and setting up the 2021 DWI Memorial Garden.  COVID 19 protocols prevented the customary ceremony.
