Companies are only as good as their employees and Ontario County offers employers a skilled, motivated and ready workforce that’s second to none. The following organizations are dedicated to helping to develop and enhance that workforce.
Ontario County Department of Workforce Development
The Ontario County Department of Workforce Development provides services for both job seekers and employers, as well as youth programs. Services for employers include job listing and employee recruitment, screening and training, while job seekers can access the job listing service and resource room, and take workshops on resume preparation and other development skills.
Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board
The mission of the Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board (FLWIB) is to improve the economic well-being of job seekers and employers in the region by aligning human potential with opportunities in the workplace. Made up of members from both the private and public sectors of Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties in New York State, the board is the decision-making entity responsible for overseeing the local workforce system.
